Looks like the upgrade to WordPress 2.0 went swimmingly. The changes are all backend — here’s a guide — and if all went well, you shouldn’t notice any changes. That is, if there’s anybody out there. Let’s face it, you call came looking for info on that non-existent John Madden Dale Jarrett Christmas CD, didn’t you? My referrer logs tell me so!

Via Boing Boing: An mp3 of an old radio version of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” This is different from the version we aired on the station one Christmas a few years ago — that version also had Jimmy Stewart… but the role of Clarence was played by Arthur Q. Bryan — Elmer Fudd, and in Elmer’s voice too!

You’ve got less than an hour to catch the replay of tonight’s Larry King Live on CNN, which appears to have been a replay of Richard Pryor’s guest shot with Larry that looks like it was in the neighbourhood of 20 years ago. (A much younger Larry is wearing a sweater over his suspenders; he plugs his Mutual radio show, CNN anchors Don Farmer and Chris Curle, Sports Tonight, and something on Iran Contra.)

What? Oh, Pryor died today.

Boing Boing reports a lost episode of Fawlty Towers!!! Let’s see… they’ve made what I’m sure is a tidy sum syndicating the 12 episode run of the series for lo these many years. If there was another, surely it would have been thrown in at some point.

Unless…

It’s a hoax — in fact, it’s a new episode being passed off as “lost” to generate buzz.

Thank you for your interest in Outback Steakhouse. The CD that was featured in our recent Dale Jarrett and John Madden commercial is not available. It was actually a spoof type commercial that uses humor to talk about our holiday gift certificates. We had no idea that it would be so well received and have actually had many of our guests interested in purchasing such a CD.

Ah, don’t sweat it. I’m sure somebody will do a cover of “North Pole Position”.
