Boing Boing links to an old TVParty article about “Rudolph” and the restoration work done at the time. Until I watched it last night, I didn’t know it had been remastered in HD for this year’s showing. The picture was outstanding. The sound, meh — a lot of wow was noticeable during any music. Also, the “We’re a Couple of Misfits” song that was only just restored to the special a few years ago had some bad edits done to it. And the show STILL ran an unscheduled two minutes over.
